Help Seniors Like Inez Stay Connected
“The value of transportation for older adults is so important. Many [of our members] cannot drive. Without Medical Motors, there would be no way they could get to us.” – Michelle, Lily Café Program Coordinator.

The Lily Café, located at the Maplewood Family YMCA, helps seniors stay active, enjoy healthy meals together and take part in a wide variety of activities. Many who visit the Café each week depend on Medical Motor Service for transportation. Inez, who attends four days a week, says her daughter told her about the program. “I wasn’t getting out, wasn’t very active. I was talking to the TV,” she says, laughing. “That’s when I realized I needed to get out of the house!” She continues, “Here I have friends my age; I’m exercising. It really does help me stay more independent.”

What does INDEPENDENCE mean to you?
Is it the freedom to choose how and where you spend each day? Is it the freedom to take part in activities you enjoy, to spend time with friends, and to make connections with others?

Each year, Al Sigl Member Agencies help over 55,000 children and adults with special needs lead more independent lives. YOU can help! Please consider making YOUR gift by visiting
